American Scores Program

America SCORES LA is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that uses soccer, creative writing, and service learning to help inspire underserved children at Title I LAUSD school sites after the school day ends. The program operates after school for 90 minutes, two days per week: Tuesdays 1:30-3:00pm and Thursdays 3:00-4:30pm. There's an 10-week session in the Fall and a 10-week session in the Spring.

Registration: America SCORES LA can accommodate up to 40 students, about 20 boys and 20 girls. Students who are returning to the program after participating during the previous year will receive priority. After that new students are encouraged to apply, and it is first come first serve. Sign-up sheets and registration forms are available in the Main Office. If there are more than 40 interested students then the remaining students will be placed on a waiting list until a spot becomes available due to a student dropping out or failing to attend the program regularly.

More Information: If you are interested in learning more about the after-school program at Palms Middle School you can contact the America SCORES LA office at 310-204-6455 or visit the America SCORES LA website.
