Makoto Taiko Drummers

The Makoto Taiko drum group from Pasadena has visited Palms each year since 2022.

The literal translation of makoto is “pure drum sound.” This art form, which is of Japanese origin, transcends cultures.

Many Palms teachers take their classes to the Makoto Taiko assembly, where Palms students join the drummers onstage.
