"Parents can play a bigger role at home. Monitor technology. Keep the option of doing one task at once. Sit down at a meal and talk. Read, draw, go for a walk. Choose anything that stimulates communication and love and appreciation for a real live thing."

LAUSD has published some resources (also see here) for parents regarding COVID-19, or Coronavirus.
At this time, there have not been any reported cases in LAUSD. The district urges parents to keep children home when they are sick and follow best practices to stay healthy, including thorough hand washing. (Wash with soap and water for 20 seconds; sing Happy Birthday to yourself twice while scrubbing your hands, and then rinse.)
Parents can get information about their child's grades, assignments, and tests by logging into the Parent Portal (Schoology). The most up-to-date information is also available from your child's teachers.
The web isn't just about games, social networking, and gossip. Some sites actually help kids learn to be better people and better citizens of the world.
