Type of Volunteers

Choose a volunteer type, then look up the requirements for that position in the Rules for Volunteers section below. If you hold more than one volunteer position, you must meet the requirements for all of them.

1. Virtual or at-home volunteer
|
Help the school from home or from off-campus, without interacting with students.
|

2. One-on-one tutor, on-campus
|
Provide direct assistance to assigned students in targeted academic areas in the classroom or in a breakout room.
|
|
3. Cafeteria volunteer
|
Help distribute food, clean up, and keep the environment orderly during mealtimes.
|
|
4. Overnight field trip chaperone
|
Help with supervision of an assigned group of students on an overnight field trip.
|
|
5. Student activities volunteer
|
Help with student sports, music groups, or clubs, and on-campus after-school activities.
|
|
6. Virtual one-on-one tutor, off-campus
|
Help the school from home or from off-campus, without interacting with students.
|
|
7. Classroom volunteer
|
Help a classroom teacher with clerical tasks. You may work with small groups of students but not with individual students.
|
|
8. Room parent
|
Help with teacher-parent communications. Help plan classroom celebrations, including recruiting help from other parents.
|
|
9. On-Campus volunteer
|
Help with supervision or school tours.
|
|
10. Office volunteer
|
Help prepare or copy instructional materials. Do other clerical tasks.
|
|
11. Parent Center volunteer
|
Help with parent workshops. Help provide resources to parents.
|
|
12. Field trip chaperone or event chaperone
|
Help with day-time field trips.
|
|
13. Single event volunteer (such as a guest lecturer)
|
Volunteer for only one day in the entire school year.
|
|
14. On-demand safety volunteer (very rare)
|
Help with safety in an unusual circumstance when the Superintendent has declared a safety need. Limited to parents, guardians, and extended family members.

|
Each day that you are on campus you must provide COVID-19 information either with Daily Pass or by answering health questions when you arrive.
