Palms Talks
The annual Palms Talks assembly is a feature of the Palms Modern Media and Communcations Magnet program.
7th grade students in the Speech elective learn to plan and make presentations on topics of their choice. They also learn public speaking. In the process, they develop the academic skills of research, time management, organization, speech writing, and technology.
Palms Talks is the culminating project for these students, who will make presentations in the style of TED Talks for the audience, delivering their commentary using a motivational style.
