Visiting Campus

Parents are welcome to come to the Main Office or the Student Services Office during school hours. See campus map and the Health & Safety rules for campus visitors.

Incoming students and their parents can attend Camp Palms just before school starts in the Fall. Prospective and incoming new parents are welcome to take a campus tour on Visitors Days. Students from Leadership help give the tours.

Parent are welcome at many campus events, including Back-to-School Night, Open House, and concerts. For special events such as Culmination you will be given instructions for parking and where to go on campus.

Parents will not be permitted to go to any classroom at any time for the purpose of speaking to a child, delivering food, money, etc. The child will be summoned to an office or the materials delivered by a monitor. For visits to observe your child's classroom, see the rules below.

Rules for Classroom Visits

Parents who wish to observe a class may do so for 30 minutes only after giving 24 hour advanced notice to the Counseling Office or the Magnet Office. The teacher will then be notified of the visitation.

Rules for classroom visits:

  • All visitors must sign in at the front door, then proceed to the specified office or location.
  • Enter and leave the classroom as quietly as possible.
  • Do not interfere with any school activity during the visitation.
  • Do not converse with the students, teacher, and/or instructional assistants during the visitation.
  • Do not disrupt instructional time, extra-curricular activities, cause disorder, or otherwise disrupt the normal operations of the school.
