School Projects

Six students from Ms. Goldin's art classes submitted entries in the 2022 NASA Langley Student Art Contest (https://artcontest.larc.nasa.gov). This year's contest theme was "Drawn to Explore." K-12 students were asked to creatively visualize NASA's science, technology, aeronautical, and human exploration activities. Contest winners for each grade level will be announced in February, 2022.

NASA Langley is a research center in Hampton, Virginia, working to make revolutionary improvements to aviation, expand our understanding of Earth's atmosphere, and develop technology for space exploration.

Students from Ms. Goldin's art classes made posters celebrating Día de los Muertos. Many were entered in the 2021 Pasadena Tournament of Roses Día de los Muertos Art Competition (https://tournamentofroses.com/about/diadelosmuertos/), and three were winners!

Destiny Catellanos and Jazmin Paiz teamed up on their poster and won first place! They received a $500 scholarship.

Areli Sanchez, Petra Daly, and Bruktayt Worku each received Honorable Mention awards and $50 gift cards.
