You are to do a Ted Talk for the class.
It should be 3 minutes. You are going up with no cards but you may have key points written down to "go off" on a topic of your choice.
Your topic should be about an issue in society you are concerned about : homelessness, high school drop-out rate, bullying in school, obesity in children, any form of discrimination, highlight an ignored hero or heroine, etc. Or you may have the option of sharing an experience you went through to educate the class. ( Google "Ted Talk For Middle School Kids" or "Ted Talk By Middle School Kids")
Main Topic : ?
Start by posing a question or share an experience you went through.
What lesson did you learn from this experience ?
What are solutions to address this issue or what other ideas do you have related to this ?
What do you want the audience to get from this ?
End with a quote from a famous person and what it means to you.
If you are under time, Mr. Kim will say the remaining seconds left and you will improvise the rest to make it 3 minutes.
The Topic Cards for you to "go off" on will state :
