When Your Child is Absent
Posted 3/7/23

Attendance Matters

Every parent should be familiar with the attendance rules on the Attendance and Absences page.

For example:

  • If your child is absent or going to be absent, see the instructions for informing the school before an expected absence or after an unexpected absence.
  • If you have to pick up your child for a medical appointment during the school day, phone Student Services to let them know ahead of time, then pick up the student before or after their P.E. class.
  • Check with teachers about missed schoolwork.

The student can complete assignments or tests for full credit whenever possible.

These details are more are on the Attendance and Absences page.
