The Hope for Unity Art Exhibit and a Peace Poster Contest are being sponsored by art supply store Baller Art Ware.
Students can submit an image of their artwork by the deadline of Friday, October 9, 2020.
The art exhibit will take place from Saturday, October 24 to Sunday, November 22, 2020 at the Neutra Institute Gallery & Museum.
How would you put a creative spin on integrating green spaces into where we live, work, and attend school?
Solatia, a student-run organization at Venice High School, is holding an art competition with this theme:
Incorporating green spaces into urban areas
High school and middle school students can enter the contest from Tuesday, September 1, 2020 to Sunday, October 18, 2020. The first prize is $300.
Join the Palms Neighborhood Council to clean along Exposition Boulevard on Saturday, October 5. The goal of the project is for everyone to have an enjoyable time and meet new neighbors while we beautify our community.
Breakfast foods will be available in the morning, and pizza will be served for lunch.

Chloe Cheng
Former Palms student Chloe Cheng, now a student at Venice High School, won a gold medal at IESO, the International Earth Science Olympiad, in Korea. Chloe is pictured below, holding the American flag near the blue corner with the stars.
Tori Corpuz
Palms alumna Tori Corpuz, now a Venice High alumna as well, spent the past year interning at Venice Paparazzi. The blog reported that Tori is heading to UCSD to study structural engineering. Take a look at the archive of her posts about Venice Beach.
