Testing History

Computer-based assessments in English Language Arts (ELA) and Mathematics replaced paper-based exams. The Common Core tests given in Spring 2014 and Spring 2015 were used to evaluate states tests and testing methods, and to set baselines for subsequent comparisons.

State tests are now based on more challenging academic standards than in the past, so the new scores can't be compared with the API scores of past years.
