BIG SUNDAY
BIG SUNDAY is an annual community service weekend in the spring. Each year, thousands of Californians of all ages and backgrounds work together at hundreds of nonprofits, schools, and other agencies that need their help. At Palms we typically do painting, campus clean-up, gardening, and repairs.
Take pride in your local middle school! We're inviting EVERYONE to come out for a day of campus beautification and community building. There will be food, t-shirts, music and activities for the younger kids. Work supplies and tools will be provided. All ages are welcome. Just come prepared to work and have fun! Please bring some healthy snacks and drinks, such as fruit and water, to share.

BIG SUNDAY 2014 at Palms Middle School was sponsored in part by Home Depot.
Thank you to MB Landscaping & Nursery for donating and delivering the mulch we used!
Our biggest project was painting the large lobby entry room of the Industrial Arts Building so we can use it as an art gallery to display our students' works, just in time for the art exhibit on May 19.
We also got the lights of the display case in the lobby working (it's been over a decade since they have worked) so the lobby is now light, bright, and fresh looking. In addition, we spread mulch, picked up trash, and cleaned the Library.
